Our annual Texas hog and dove hunt is scheduled for 06 through 12 September with Red Dirt Outfitters out of Wichita Falls. We will leave early on Wednesday, 06 September and return the evening of Tuesday, 12 September. Eight selected Veterans will be transported to, or meeting us in, Wichita Falls to pursue hogs and doves. If you do not get notified via phone, text, or email within a few days of the application closing date then you were not selected to attend. Meals, lodging, licenses, and transportation from a TBD location will be provided. Selected Veterans are asked to bring an appropriate rifle (hog) and shotgun (dove), ammo, as well as clothing for hot, and potentially wet, Texas fall weather (camo is helpful for dove hunting). If you do not have a rifle and/or a shotgun, please notify WWGS. Please ensure that you can attend this event, i.e., clear it with work, school, and spouse, before applying. By submitting this application, you hereby agree/allow for voice, video, and photo release to promote the event.
